Prisoner in His Body

He’s a prisoner in his body
And how his mind must rebel
At the way his body has turned on him
It must be a living hell

He sits in a wheel chair by the door
Watching the world from the side
A prisoner in his body
Couldn’t take part if he tried

A victim of multiple sclerosis
And how he must truly yearn
To have things as they were before
This disease took its turn

He has to be put in his chair
And lifted out of bed
The only thing he moves at will
Are his mouth, eyes and head

And you think you’ve got trouble
Well, let me tell you all
Compared to what this man goes through
Your troubles are very small
