Last Night
Last night the wind was shrieking
The thunder grumbled around
Angry lightning streaked across the sky
And the rain came pouring down
This morning the sun’s not shining
The clouds are rolling low
As if the world had a sorrow
Must have been an awful blow
This noon, it’s a little lighter
The sun’s playing peek-a-boo
Suddenly a rainbow
Smiles across the blue

And now I see a rainbow
That means the storm is through
And suddenly a rainbow
Arches across a sky of blue
