Going to Church
I don’t believe that just going to church
Makes a Christian out of you
I don’t believe that your weekly tithe
Buys you a home in the blue
I don’t believe just attending your weekly church meet
Makes you any better Christian than the beggar in the street
I believe you can worship God
Wherever you happen to be
High on a hilltop all alone
Or the middle of the deep blue sea
I’ve seen some beautiful churches
And they’re all right I guess
But as I look I wonder
Who are we trying to impress
