Old Folks Home
I won’t go there I never will
You’d just as well plant me upon the hill
The people in there are just rotting away
They’re just existing from day to day
I’m not gonna be told what to do
By some little snip of twenty-two
I’ll be eighty-two on my birthday
And you’re not going to take my freedom away
Homes are for people who don’t have anyone
I have nine daughters and five sons
I won’t go there he always said
Dammit, Kiddo I’d be better off dead
Homes aren’t for everyone I agree
But it was nice for Dad at eighty-three
